This...
... was a pain in the ass. The center section of the axle was pretty rough... had to take some 220 grit followed by scotch brite and clean it up a bit to get this shit to come past it. Was initially thinkin' I just need to replace the whole damn axle, but the areas where the bearings seat are good to go, and the pitting on the center is superficial. Found a joint ta get new "made in Japan" bearings, seals, and spacers.. even the spacers to take the place of the speedo drive... gonna set me back about 40 bucks... same joint has a new front caliper (real reason for no front break, the one I got is beyond hope and is currently my daughters paper weight), but it's almost 300 bucks. So I'm gonna stay cool and run it nekkid.
